John Gocek, Vice President Energy and Environment, C.O.O John Gocek is a C-level executive offering 20+ years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking and manufacturing operations, particularly in the HVAC sector. Mr. Gocek is the co-founder of Ventrol Inc., a manufacturer of custom air handling equipment and subsidiary of Nortek Holdings. Nortek was an NYSE listed company until August 2004. Mr. Gocek held the positions of CFO and VP Finance and Controller of Ventrol from 1997 to 2007. Mr. Gocek also brings to Sofame, hands-on experience treasury management, IS/IT and management consulting. He began his career at Marine Midland Bank in New York in money markets, moved to Montreal with Republic National Bank of New York, and then moved to lending with the Business Development Bank of Canada. Years of professional development have lead to roles of increasing responsibility in finance, planning and forecasting, business strategy, and executive management. Mr. Gocek holds a bachelors degree in Honours Economics from McGill University, and completed Management Associate training on Wall Street with Marine Midland Bank in 1985. He is an advocate of performance-based metrics and web-based management systems and is a mentor, skilled at coaching others to understand the organization’s needs and to act constructively. John Gocek was a Director as well as President and CEO of the Corporation from October 24, 2007 until May 6, 2009. Mr. Gocek assumed the title of COO in May 2009.
Robert Deslandes, Vice President, C.F.ORobert Deslandes is a senior executive with over 25 years of diversified experience in corporate finance and general management within manufacturing, distribution and services companies. Robert has worked in areas of acquisition, start-up, restructuring, strategic planning and business development. He has served for many years as Vice President of Finance and CFO of large international public companies. Robert is an effective negotiator, creative manager and proven operations strategist. He has previously served as CFO in the food industry for Canadian public company with revenues over $400 million, as well as President of a banking equipment manufacturing and service corporation. Robert is a graduate of University of Quebec in Montreal in Finance, and holds a Masters Degree in Business Management and is a Certified Management Accountant as well as a member of the Financial Executives Institute.

Luc Mandeville, Eng., Vice President C.T.O Luc Mandeville is co-founder of Sofame and served as its President for over 20 years. He has been involved in every patent creation developed by Sofame. He is an owner in every one of these patents. Graduated from “École Polytechnique” of Montreal in 1973 in Industrial Engineering, he worked for 10 years in the water treatment field for Degremont before starting Sofame. Mr. Mandeville has developed markets in North America and Europe for Sofame products since the Company’s founding in 1984. He has over 25 years of experience in the energy field.

Demers, Vice President Sales and Marketing, C.C.OAs a seasoned professional related to marketing, sales, distribution and general management, both in the Canadian and international arena, Mr Demers is a C level Executive offering more than 20 years of valuable hands on management deploying and managing operational and commercial strategies with start-up and multi million dollars corporations within the high-tech, distribution and business solution industries.
Part of Mr Demers experience included, the position of Managing Director of a fix wireless broad band international corporation in Argentina, as the C.M.O. defining and deploying commercial strategies in start-up and existing cellular operators in Ecuador, Colombia, South Korea, Algeria, as a senior Consultant of a wireless national telecom company in Mexico and Saudi Arabia, established and managed commercial activities with a world leader cellular terminal fulfillment corporation in the United State, Vice President sales and operation of a competitive telecom operator in Canada, establish a new SME business process division for SAP Canada and occupied various Management positions within the Bell Canada and Bell Mobility organizations. Robert also accumulated valuable knowledge and experiencing impressive growth in the direct sales industry building impressive distribution teams in record times period of time.

Daniel Lefebvre, ing. ,Director of Engineering Daniel Lefebvre holds a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Université de Sherbrooke. Prior to joining Sofame in 2009, he spent over 22 years with a leading combustion system manufacturer where he held different hands-on as well as management positions in sales, operations, engineering and R&D, both in Canada and abroad.
He brings his expertise in operations and engineering to implement mass customization to our process, allowing us to streamline our entire production. Mr. Lefebvre is also an active volunteer, currently acting as President of the Quebec Cystic Fibrosis Association.
